?What If!
?What If! “Digital Dialogue”
forum at the Rich Mix Culture Studio with key sponsor: Google
We had another successful forum with our long-standing client: ?What If! The Innovation Company. They hold regular forums addressing topical issues affecting organisations. Delegates come from a wide variety of backgrounds: corporate, public sector and charities. ?What If! events always provide us with a fresh and challenging technical environment.
?What If! deliberately choose to produce their events in
environments where creative thought and action can be maximised. This
is achieved by using extraordinary venues, themes and technical layouts
that challenge pre-conceived ideas of seminars.
At this event they examined how the digital broadcast age presented both opportunities and threats. The team demonstrated various digital opportunities and how ignoring blog culture could result in disaster!

Technical & Creative
We worked alongside the ?What If! creative department to ensure a consistent theme. The set and lighting was designed to emphasise the close association with Google. We hung the Christie DS+8 projector and the MAC500 moving lights over the audience, maximised the floor area and brought in the clean lines of the building. The backdrop comprised gauze panels in varying sizes that were back lit with LED battens. This gave flexible lighting options in tune with Google’s colourful logo.
Several PC sources were supplied and connected to the ‘net. Google needed on-line product and service demonstrations and chose to control their presentation from the lectern. The ?What If! presentations combined PowerPoint presentations and live ‘net demonstrations controlled from the front of house control area. The venue staff were extremely helpful and their ‘net connections never failed.
The delegate reception was given an ambience with moving lights. A number of Google workstations were installed allowing delegates the opportunity to test-drive the company’s latest services. There was also a constantly running demonstration of Google Earth projected onto one of the venue’s walls.
The reception area gave delegates the opportunity to mingle, network and have face-to-face discussions with senior members of the Google team.
The event was a great success with a full house and an extremely happy client!
